Zombie Crab Lecture (3).png

Parasites are vital members of communities, but we still have a lot to learn about their influence on hosts and other community members.

Dr. Blakeslee and her students will talk about their research on body-snatching parasites that create zombie crabs, species invasions that may carry with or leave behind parasites, and how parasites can be important conservation indicators.

One of the missions of the Blakeslee lab is to heighten awareness of the importance of parasites to ecosystems, and to demonstrate how fascinating and interesting parasites can be!

Join us on the evening of October 10th at 6 PM

in our auditorium for this informative lecture!
