Monthly Paddles
Join us at the River Center for our free, monthly paddle! We'll take off from the kayak launch on-site and will stay out for approximately one hour. No need to bring your own gear, we provide it all! See our Facebook for dates. Pre-registration is required by calling us at 252-794-2001.
Lost Colony Day
Did we find the lost colony in Bertie County? Archaeologists are working to uncover one of North Carolina's oldest mysteries, and their findings have led them to Bertie County. Lost Colony Day is an annual celebration featuring pontoon boat rides on the Cashie River and discussions on the Lost Colony, and the native communities of Bertie County. This year's event is on April 29th, 2023.
The Windsor Riverfest is a new celebration on June 17th, 2023 that was created to celebrate Northeastern North Carolina, its people, and its natural beauty and welcome new people to discover it for themselves. The event has food trucks, music, boat rides, art vendors, and a farmers' market! It also has a large outdoor section celebrating our region's rivers, natural resources, and environmental education with help from local museums and nonprofits. July 3rd Fireworks
The Windsor-Bertie Chamber of Commerce and the town of Windsor's annual Independence Day celebration! The River Center is the proud host site for this event and is excited for more details to come!
